🌱 Finding Fertile Grounds for Growth

Hello everyone! Today I want to shed light on the importance of finding fertile grounds that allow us to grow and flourish. We often forget that we are like seeds — everything that happens around us affects our inner world and, in turn, shapes our evolution as people and as professionals.

To explore what constitutes a fertile ground, I’d like to share a bit of my own journey — the kind of experiences that remind me how vital it is to return to places that nurture, respect, and inspire us.

1. Beginner's Mind

My journey began in a small community space where I taught yoga to young children. It was a true example of a fertile ground — a place that empowered my creativity, trusted me before I fully trusted myself, and encouraged me to explore new ways of teaching.

Those first classes, full of laughter and spontaneity, taught me one of the most important lessons I still carry:

“Always enter the mat with the innocence of a beginner, and you will become a master.”

2. Continuous Learning

As my passion for yoga deepened, I committed to rigorous Iyengar Yoga training and earned my certification. This experience refined not only my asana practice but also my understanding of the philosophy and precision that define Iyengar Yoga.

Along the way, I found spaces and mentors who offered the kind of support and encouragement that make growth possible.

Is your workplace or community a fertile ground where your knowledge can take root and expand?

3. The Next Challenge

After certification came new opportunities — guiding adult beginners, creating workshops, and refining my teaching voice. Fertile environments are those that see your potential, trust your evolution, and open doors to new challenges that help you discover who you are meant to become.

4. The Resources to Grow

My first intensive workshop of the year has finally arrived! It feels particularly special because I’m surrounded by a network of colleagues and friends who share knowledge generously and create conditions for everyone to thrive.

After ten years and over fifteen retreats, I’m honoured to now help other teachers develop their own extended sessions — moments where we can deepen our Iyengar Yoga practice, explore advanced techniques, and strengthen our sense of community.

5. Open doors

No matter how much time passes, true fertile grounds always keep their doors open. They welcome you back, recognising your growth and inviting you to shine again.

That’s why I’m so delighted to return to familiar, supportive spaces again and again to offer my classes and workshop series — and you are warmly invited to join me!

Thank you for taking this reflection journey with me. Tell me in the comments,
