Sharing a Room in Sfakia
There is a particular kind of ease that develops between two people who wake up in the same room and walk to yoga together every morning for a week.
The Shared Accommodation pairs you with one other retreat participant in a twin or double room. Rooms are simple, clean, and en-suite, true to the spirit of Sfakia. The environment is designed for rest and restoration, not constant activity.
Many of the friendships that begin in a shared room outlast the retreat itself. That is not something we can promise, but it is something we have seen, over and again.
About the Roommate Matching
We do not leave this to chance. When you complete the pre-retreat forms, we ask about your preferences: sleep schedule, noise sensitivity, and whether you have any specific requests. We match shared rooms with care.
If you are already booking with a friend and would like to share a room together, simply let us know in the form.
The Shared Option Is Ideal If You...
- Are excited by the social dimension of a retreat
- Are travelling alone and open to meeting someone new
- Are booking with a friend and want to share the experience fully
- Find energy in the presence of others rather than solitude
- Want the full retreat experience at a more accessible price point
Both accommodation options include exactly the same retreat experience. The difference is simply your room, and how you choose to spend the in-between moments.
Seven Days Between the Mountains and the Sea
Sfakia sits at the foot of the White Mountains on Crete's southwestern coast, where the Lefka Ori meet the Libyan Sea. There are no large hotels here. No beach clubs. No noise that is not the wind or the water.
It is the kind of place that creates community almost without trying, because there is nothing competing for your attention.
